I love people. I love ideas. I love building bridges between people and between people and ideas. That is why I like startups so much, apart from being an old dog I guess who likes to be surrounded by young puppies!

It will be no surprise then to know that my WHY in life is to spark people´s imagination with positivity so that they can do what they like to imagine. Sounds so simple and generic maybe but it took me a while to realise this, although all the signs were there all the time throughout my life and are still very much present today. As a psychologist and HR professional this is what I always enjoy the most in my work with people. Encourage them to think and play big because people are the only limit to their own imagination.

I can definitely recommend discovering your WHY by the way! Knowing your purpose in life gives direction, strength and wisdom both in good and bad times, things we all need as human beings!

Why I like Workkola? Other than the enormously electrifying energy the youngsters at Workkola bring there is another thing I find so refreshing about them; they dare to dream big and they dare to imagine the impossible.

And they use a technology that has a promising future: blockchain. I like things simple so I struggled to understand what blockchain really is in the beginning. I basically see it as a sort of universal language that allows people to connect with each other to digitally exchange goods, products and services with no interpreters needed for translation. I know it probably does not do blockchain any justice but as I said I like things simple. When I read words like ´unified protocol´ or ´decentralised database´ my reptilian brain starts to protest.

With over 20 plus years of experience in recruiting I can say I can smell talent from a mile´s distance. But, and there is always a but, relying on your gut when making important hiring decisions is one thing, but not having any benchmark to check that gut feeling has always been the hardest thing for me as a recruiter. What if I am wrong in my impressions of a candidate? What if? What if? I don´t need to remind you of the huge costs involved in hiring and replacing the wrong person later on. And I am not ashamed to admit this has happened to me quite a few times throughout my career obviously.

And this is exactly what I love about Skyllz. An independent, unbiased and reliable check on people´s abilities and soft skills. Which saves you costs, hassle and pain throughout the entire recruitment process. I wish I had had access to this kind of technology as an HR professional as it would have made my life a lot easier.

Skyllz using blockchain is the brand-new bridge that gives talent access to work and work access to talent.
